Selling your handbag at Barry's
Bring your bag and a photo ID to our Boca Raton counter. We authenticate it in front of you and make you an offer the same visit. If you accept, smaller sales are paid in cash and larger ones by check or wire transfer. If you don't, you take your bag home. There's no obligation.
What we look at
We look at the maker, the model and size, the leather or canvas, the hardware, and the condition of the corners, handles and lining. Authenticity is checked in store, right in front of you.
It depends on the maker, the model, its condition and the current market, so we don't quote numbers online. For an idea first, send photos through the quote form or text them to (561) 786-2431: the front, the inside, the hardware and any date code or stamp.
What to bring
If you have the dust bag, box, receipt or any cards that came with the bag, bring them along. They help confirm the bag.
Before you sell anywhere
Wherever you sell a handbag, ask to see it authenticated in front of you, and ask what the offer is based on: the model, the size, the condition and anything that came with the bag. And ask what a pawn loan would be, in case you'd rather keep it.
Rather keep it? Ask about a pawn loan
We can usually offer more to buy your bag than to lend on it, because you're selling it outright. If you'd like the bag back later, a pawn loan gives you money the same visit with no credit check, and you pick it up when you repay. Ask for both numbers at the counter and choose what suits you.
