What we collect through the quote form
When you ask for a quote, we collect what you enter: whether you want to pawn, sell or repair something; what it is and any details you type; the photos you add; your first name; your phone number; and whether you'd like a text or a call.
Photos are shrunk on your phone before they're sent, and the camera details stored inside them, including location, are removed.
To record your consent to texts and keep the form free of spam, we also keep the exact consent wording you agreed to, the time you sent the request, the internet (IP) address it came from, and when you started the form.
We also note which page you sent it from and, if you arrived from an ad, the ad's tracking codes in the address (for example from Google Ads), so we know which ads bring in requests.
How we use it
We use your request to answer it: to look at your piece, make you an offer or a repair estimate, and contact you by text or call, as you chose. We don't sell your information.
We won't send you offers or promotions unless you have separately agreed to receive them, and agreeing is never required.
Who receives it
Your request goes to our staff through our customer-management and texting service, which stores your name, number and request so we can reply, and keeps the conversation with you.
The website is hosted by Vercel, which also stores your photos privately for us; our staff open them through private links that expire.
If our customer-management service is ever unavailable, a backup copy of the request may be emailed to our staff.
We may share information when the law requires it.
Text messages
If you choose "Text me" and send the form, you agree to receive texts from Barry's Pawn & Jewelry at (561) 786-2431 about your request. Message frequency depends on your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. You can also call us to stop texts.
Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase or loan. We don't share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with anyone else for their marketing. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how people find and use the site and to measure our ads, for example when someone calls us from the site or sends a quote request. These services may set cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests, photos and conversations for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our legal and business obligations, and then delete them. Our staff's private links to your photos stop working after 90 days.
In-store pawn and purchase transactions
This policy is about the website. When you pawn or sell something in our store, Florida law requires us to record your identification and report pawn and purchase transactions to law enforcement. Those records are handled under Florida law, not this policy.
